My granddad was notoriously always available for work. Come rain or shine, sober or shit-faced; he’d be at the dock, or the glass works should the need arise. It often did. Granddad might not have always been on the straight and narrow, but when he was needed, he was there. It earned him the nickname Available Allan. Before long there were people in other industries needing to fill the gap and despite granddads severe lack of qualification, he was available, and that was quite the qualifier. Given the room to shine, people will put on their Sunday best. My granddad’s story teaches me that life is a transaction. It takes risk from both sides.

If you need me for your adventure. I’m available.
